Recent Sermons

Here is a selection of recent sermons.

Whether you would like a taste of our worship, to catch up on a missed sermon or to reflect more deeply on a sermon that spoke to you.

From longing, through persistence, to joy in Christ — the journey of faith we are called to live each day. Over the past week, in our Sermons at St Mary’s, we journeyed from longing for “more faith,” through persistence in prayer, to finding joy and fulfilment in Christ, the Bread of Life. The invitation now is to live this out: to trust that what God has given is enough, to keep going when the night feels long, and to share Christ’s abundance with others. You can revisit the sermons by clicking on the blue titles below, and Ian is always glad to continue the conversation if you’d like to explore these themes more deeply.

  • We’ll begin with The Question of More — what does it really mean to ask for “more faith”?
  • Midweek brings Waiting for Dawn — persistence in prayer and service when the night feels long.
  • And on Harvest Sunday, Bread That Lasts — joy and thanksgiving rooted in Christ, the Bread of Life.
