What is the Mothers’ Union?
The Mothers’ Union is an international Christian charity that seeks to support families worldwide. Members cover 83 countries, and are not all mothers, or even all women, but include single and married people, parents, grandparents, and young adults.
For all 4 million members, the Mothers’ Union provides a network through which they can serve Christ in their own community – through prayer, financial support and actively working at the grassroots level in programmes that meet local needs.
The Mothers’ Union also lobbies local and national governments on issues affecting family life and campaigns to challenge legislation that neglects the vulnerable and marginalized. We are also represented at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

The Sawston Branch of the Mothers’ Union
There is a flourishing branch in Sawston. We meet monthly on Thursday evenings, and are involved in local projects, fundraising and activities. New members and visitors are always welcome.
The programme for 2021 meetings is available here.
